Dishwasher cleaning | How to clean your dishwasher thoroughly?

1. Rinse your dishes before loading them into the dishwasher. 
Wipe off the plates and rinse the glasses and pans under the tap before loading them into the dishwasher. Do not throw food leftovers down the sink, because this can lead to blocked drains.

2. Do not overload the dishwasher.

2. Cleaning with lemon
For regular cleaning: sprinkle a couple of drops of lemon juice on the dirty dishes and turn the dishwasher on. You can also do this with an empty dishwasher, but that would be a waste of power and water.

For thorough cleaning: pour some white vinegar onto the bottom of the machine and put a couple of slices of lemon in the cutlery tray. Then run the machine on an intensive programme.

3. Cleaning the dishwasher with baking soda.

Put one teaspoon of baking soda in the dishwasher soap tray. Run the empty machine on the most intensive programme. Make sure not to put more than one teaspoon of baking soda in the soap tray. Too much of it can damage the rubber seals in the dishwasher.
